BETA Drawing Board

BETABOARD

As we all know, this is the new drawing board Pocky had wonderfully provided us with on the front page. Now, it's been a few months since this drawing system has been a beta for anipock. It's about time that we decide if we should dump the old board for this one. The old drawing board is laggy, slow, and well frustrating. Considering that we have hit a slump in the numbers of members being online the beta board probably for a long time will be called the beta board. For the sake for making a new post, what are your options? Should we just replace the draw boards with the beta, or keep both of them?

Where I've Been

Hey all, my how time flies. Another December? The year 2010? Man it sounds like were in the future. (I was born in the 80s).

Anyways, I thought I'd take this time to tell you all what I've been up to. I'd also like to hear the same from you in the comments!

Since graduating last May, I have been doing three times:

1. Geology research on timelines with this professor (he discovered the theory that says dinosaurs were killed by an asteroid).

2. Working at a photo hobby and enthusiast online store called Photojojo

3. I just helped launch a product called BearExtender. It's a long range USB Wi-Fi adapter for Macs. Sorry, Macs only! =P Check it out: http://www.bearextender.com/

Your turn!

Garfield Minus Garfield is the Depressing Humor You Need!

v_v;

...So... forgive me. I accidentally appear to have gotten a life. I'm working an awful lot now, and doing other projects on the side. Remember that convention I worked for? Yeah, now I have two of those... among other things. So A-P and any other website to which I may contribute has taken a spot on my back-burner for the time being.

I think about A-P, and everyone a lot though. Which is why I thought I'd share Garfield Minus Garfield with you.

Basically, take any Garfield comic, remove Garfield, and see how lonely, depressing, and insane Jon really is when you realize he has been talking to his cat for all of these years.

The comics are so funny, I made a few of my own:

Hehe. Feel free to make a few of your own. Archived Garfield comics are found at Garfield.com . All you really need is Photoshop, or, if you're me, MS Paint (crazy, I know!), and you're good to go!
Even Jim Davis himself admits he gets a kick out of them.

EnjoY!

FaceBooK agrees with Canadian Concerns

Now... I know a lot of people use Facebook...
Canada has around 12million users...
Facebook is seemingly a good way to find and keep in touch with friends long forgotten or to...
umm... actually I have no idea what Facebook does or why people use it... or even what uses it has...
I just know by NOT having FaceBook, I've missed out on many parties, events, and even dates... Silly me...
Or... is that Silly YOU?
Even though I don't use any social networking thingys...
I still try to stay informed about them.

This Summer, Canada launched complaints that FaceBook violated Canadian Internet Privacy Laws.
Now... I know what you may be thinking "BiG Deal... Canadian Privacy Laws..." but consider this...
2006 and 2007 Canada ranked 2nd according to Privacy International
No worries about "BiG Brother". (o^-')b

The Privacy complaints were in regards to holding user information even after an account has been deleted and the information it shares with third party applications.
August 27th, FaceBook agreed with Canada's Privacy concerns and is working to implement changes.
With the changes, the application developer will have to specify which categories of data the software needs, so users can decide accordingly. Users who authorize an application will be able to opt out of giving certain information.

As part of Thursday's agreement, Facebook will provide users with a clearer distinction between deleting an account -- which removes all personal information from Facebook servers after two weeks -- and deactivating it, which merely stores the information in its database.

The Web site will also provide users with a better explanation of how its advertising programs work, and will change how it handles the accounts of deceased users.

Who knows? Maybe after these changes... I just might consider using FaceBook...
