Well I'm writing an essay.
Yes an essay, I'm in summer school. Anyways, I'm writing it on The Game, and I need your opinions on it.
If you don't know what it is, here is the rules
1. You are playing the game, everyone is playing the game, they always have and always will be, even if they don’t know it yet
2. Whenever you think of the game, you loose. When you start to forget about The Game, You start winning.

Northern Michgan Anime Convention - Year Two

Well, folks. It's getting to be that time of year again, for Ani-Pock's official anime convention, NMACon in Traverse City, Michigan, to roll around once more!

I'll bet you are dying to know who the special guest is this year...

NMACon is proud to host, the one, the only, Vic Mignogna!

You'll know Vic by his unique voice acting, for such characters as Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist and Tamaki Suou from Ouran High School Host Club.
This year NMACon will also feature a video tournament, Cosplay Arena, which allows people wearing their cosplays to battle as the character they are representing in a sort of live-action roleplay style.

The theme is film noir and murder mystery and the convention will be host to a realtime, convention-wide event that will take place from opening ceremonies to closing.
And as always, Ani-Pock's official convention is open for all Pockers to meet and greet one another. I hope lots of people can make it this year!

Green Graduation Cap

Here's my Class of 2009 Graduation Cap for the University of California Berkeley.

It is covered with a small "green world," complete with a solar power plant and a wind turbine.

The solar panel works, and actually drives the wind turbine. So while not true generation, it helps to demonstrate renewable energy at least.

I was involved in several sustainable groups on campus. I helped pass the Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) legislation on campus, which generates $200,000 annually for green projects at Berkeley. I also taught the Joy of Garbage DeCal course for six semesters. This course explored the impact of our waste on the past, present and future. Finally I was the Waste Reduction Manger (WRM) at my housing cooperative for four semesters.

Grass paper and miniature trees were obtained from a model railroad store. The tassel was magnetically mounted at two points under the cap, to allow me to 'graduate.'

The house contains an arm connected to the Sun. The sun can be raised by a remote control. I used this while walking across the stage to wave to the family. You can see this in the two videos below.

I majored in Product Design through the Interdisciplinary Studies Program at Berkeley and hope to work on green sustainable products in the future.
