Northern Michigan Anime Convention II
Well folks, we're getting underway again, or have been for a little while, for the Northern Michigan Anime Convention II, still Ani-Pock's official convention.
So, we're looking for input. Like last time, I'd like to get some feedback on some questions to help our convention grow, and maybe get the word out about A-P a little more after this year, and in turn get some more people through our doors at NMAC.
So:
- Have you been to an anime con?
- If you haven't attended before, what are your initial thoughts and reactions to cons? Should cons be more accommodating of first time attendees?
- What are some things you've wanted to see at a convention?
- What brings you to them?
- Is there some element of conventions you do not like?
- Favorite guest?
- ETC, ETC.
You can see how the con this year turned out here. But be sure to check back here often to see how the new convention, opening on July 18 & 19, 2009, is shaping up as we progress in our plans.
On that note, I hope some of you can make it! We had a Gaia meet and greet this year, why not have an A-P meet up?! Come on out to visit.

Though thats not the most prime date, I guess there should be a better turn out this time because of how close it is to cherry festival. Buuuut if you could just bump it back like a week, then you'd be right in the middle of the chery festival, when TC doesnt have a hotel room left un-booked. Its your call!

Thanksgiving Weekend?
Who planned that?
SillY!
Wait wait wait, I'm confuzed. Ani-pock is holding its own convention? or is it one of the sponsers?
anyways I haven't been to a convention, though lex has.
My thoughts are that I really want to go...and cosplay as...lavi or something.
They are interesting.
Somethings that I don't like is that its overly crowded, and its possible to get lost..(gets lost easily and doesn't have a cell phone)
erm..guest...nevah been to one so yeah....
I stuck A-P's name on the convention in an effort to get it some more attention and to draw A-P'ers to the con. Like a link exchange!
I wonder if anyone visits from our con website to here much though...
Wait.....
Since when is there a convention that I am actually in reasonable distance to go to??????!!!!!!!
It would've been nioce someone could've told me a looonng time ago...

Duhhhh, YoumaCon. Freaking in Troy.
TC is way farther away than from Plymouth.
That convention is right on my friend's birthday and chances are I might be in school. (Have to go to summer school this time around to get some much needed classes). That and where am I to come up with the funds? Any ideas? (I really want to meet up with everyone and I think this would be a good opportunity).
I might go...but I'm a nekocon girl through and Through
Geez, don't limit yourself too much.
By the start of next year I'll have a stake in each of the three conventions held in my state.
