World Cup Weekend Update...

Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players using a spherical ball.
It is the most popular sport in the world.
Football or Soccer... whatever you want to call it... is still a "beautiful game"...
Unless you live in the United States.

"X123x: how lame
X123x: i dont loike soccer"

The World Cup has hosted 76 of the World's countries unlike the World Series which hosts one, maybe two countries if Toronto ever makes it in.

Sporting events, especially a World Sporting event such as the World Cup, gives a chance for all countries to put aside their differences, forget about their financial troubles and cheer...
(some even skip work to watch)

The First Weekend of World Cup is over, and what a surprising weekend of matches so far...

Group A all tied up with 1 point a piece.
South Africa and Mexico tying the opener at 1-1.
France and Uruguay following suit with their 0-0.
Group A matches set to continue on the 16th and 17th with
Hosts South Africa taking on Uruguay and France taking on Mexico.

South Korea and Argentina take top spots in Group B, bringing in the first "W's" of the tournament with wins over Greece and Nigeria.
Greece and Nigeria try to make up some points on the 17th.

Green turned England's 4min goal into a 1-1 tie with USA,
as Slovenia beat Algeria.
USA and England hope to over come their draw on the 18th.

Very exciting indeed! The England V USA match was good! Even if Green's slip-up was disappointing.

Great matches so far, and as they close in to the quarter-finals the stakes will be raised even higher and the pressure will be on, World Cup fever is everywhere here, on everything you eat and drink!

Nice report Kami :D Hope you're enjoying it as much as I am!

X123x: Kami hates Americans
X123x: little did he kno
X123x: Im not american
X123x: Im mexica

"Unless you live in the United States."
Refers to location, not nationality...
X amount of years living and studying in the United States and X123x still has problems with the English language =/
